Analog Phone Systems Are Very Useful Commercially.

Analog phone systems are the first technology that was used in the earlier generation cellular phones. Today, analog phones have been replaced by digital phones, at a fast pace. In the period between 1980 and 2000, analog cellular phones were very popular throughout America and many people used these phone systems.

Analog phone systems use analog signals to transfer communication across various locations. Analog signals are responses which are got physically in terms of change in any one like light, noise, temperature etc. Analog systems are cheaper when compared to the digital phone systems used nowadays. This phone system requires a wide band width to operate for a particular frequency. It will allow only limited and permitted frequencies in the band width.

Analog phone systems can use single and multi line telephone systems for various locations using extensions. Each extension number will have a frequency and can be reached by the difference in the frequency of sound. Analog and digital phones have their own strengths and weaknesses which have to be analyzed carefully and selected according to the requirement and the budget of the organization. Generally smart combinations of both analog and digital systems are used in organizations.

Analog phone systems are used in one place and cannot be carried over to various places as in the case of digital phones. This is very competitive in price. Analog phones are used in places of common usage like conference rooms, lobbies, reception and for domestic usage. Analog systems have simple features which are very easy to handle and use. On the other hand it has very limited facilities when compared to the digital systems. Many buttons which are available in digital phones are not found in analog phones. Facilities like conference calling, where a group of people at different locations come online on a phone call and conduct audio conferencing, are not available in analog phones. That is why analog phones are recommended for home usage and in case of business where the number of users is low.

Analog phone systems will need a traditional phone port and a connection port to activate its usage. Before selecting the analog phone you have to decide on the approximate number of calls that has to be attended to because analog phones do not carry out effective handling of multiple calls. This is because it does not have digital facilities like call waiting or conference calling features. Normally buttons used for such facilities are unavailable in traditional analog phone system.
